The Rosenalp sanatorium is under the medical direction of Dr. Benedikt Fink and his wife Dr. Aliia Fink. It is embedded in the 4-star Rosenalp Health Resort & Spa, which is quietly situated on a sunny hill, with a medical centre and a practice for physiotherapy and osteopathy Klarmann, with a top fitness centre and a fantastic wellness oasis with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, plus nutritional advice, Med Spa and wellness treatments. We have been experts in healthy nutrition for 50 years and, in addition to the Rosenalp light cuisine, we also offer the original Schroth Cure, therapeutic fasting and alkaline fasting cures.

Following this initial consultation, the team of doctors will draw up a health programme that has been individually tailored to your diagnosis. It includes the prescription of medical and therapeutic treatments, as well as recommendations regarding the form of nutrition or the personal exercise or sports programme.

Oberstaufen is a Climatic Health Resort and the world's only recognised Schroth Health Spa. You will enjoy a spa stay in Oberstaufen. Apply for your outpatient preventive cure at your health insurance company or pension insurance company or at the subsidy office. For this, you will usually need a certificate of the lowest daily rate as well as proof of our sanatorium concession. We have provided both documents for you on our download page

After your health cure has been approved, you choose your favourite room, book your stay and enjoy your "healthy time" at Rosenalp in the Allgäu.

Please understand that we only accept people who do not require constant medical supervision or nursing and who are independently mobile.

Does the health stay have to be ordered in advance by a doctor?

Our excellent infrastructure and medical expertise allow us to treat the following medical conditions:

If your symptoms correspond to one of these diagnoses, you can easily book your preferred health service. The corresponding prescription will then be issued during the admission interview by the medical practice Dres Fink.

If you are applying for reimbursement from your private health insurance, we recommend consulting your primary care physician beforehand.

Why is medical supervision mandatory for the medical stay?

During the admission consultation, our doctor will make the necessary diagnosis for your health stay. This results in the doctor's recommendation regarding diet, exercise therapy (e.g. spinal gymnastics, exercise bath) and the prescription of medical and physiotherapeutic treatments. The appointment for your admission consultation will be organized automatically by us and communicated to you on your arrival at Rosenalp. All other therapy appointments are arranged personally on site.

How free am I in planning my day?

The Rosenalp Health Resort & Spa stands for health stays in a vacation atmosphere. Accordingly, you should be able to enjoy your healthy days and organize them as freely as possible. Whether it's rest and relaxation, sport and exercise or beauty and wellness - outside of the appointments for your therapies and treatments, you decide how you want to spend your stay in our private clinic / sanatorium.

Why is a health stay in the Rosenalp so effective?

Can I book the health stay as a person with statutory health insurance?

Rosenalp is a licensed private sanatorium. If you have statutory health insurance, we can only treat you as a self-payer as part of a health stay. Only the Praxis für Physiotherapie & Osteopathie Klarmann GbR is licensed to treat patients with statutory health insurance. This requires you to bring a prescription from your doctor and book your physiotherapy appointments in advance by telephone.

What costs are covered by health insurance if I have private insurance?

The costs for medically prescribed therapies and treatments (doctor and physiotherapy) can be claimed within the framework of the agreement with your private health insurance company. We recommend that you clarify any possible cost coverage with your health insurance company in advance.

What costs of the health stay do I have to bear myself?

You must bear the costs of accommodation, meals, beauty and wellness treatments and any extras yourself.

What costs are covered if I am eligible for state aid?

The Rosenalp health resort has a sanatorium license and is eligible for financial aid. If you have private health insurance, the health insurance companies will grant you fixed daily rates for your stay during your cure. All additional costs, e.g. spa treatments, must be borne by you. The costs of therapies and treatments can be claimed under the agreement with your private health insurance company if they have been prescribed by a doctor.

The Rosenalp Health Resort & Spa in Oberstaufen in the Allgäu is a state-recognised private health establishment in accordance with § 30 GeWo (Trade, Commerce and Industry Regulation Act) and meets the requirements of § 107 SGB V Para. 2 for the provision of in-patient curative treatments.

The sanatorium is under the medical management of Dr. med. Benedikt Fink and his wife, Dr. Aliia Fink.

The lowest daily rate per person / per overnight stay from December 22, 2023, to November 26, 2024, is:

in the single room "Silver Moon" EUR 210, including breakfast, Schroth cure diet or therapeutic fasting, or EUR 235, including the Rosenalp light cuisine.
in the double room "Princesse Louise" EUR 210 per person, including breakfast, Schroth cure diet or therapeutic fasting, or EUR 235, including the Rosenalp light cuisine.

On the day of departure, all services actually provided will be invoiced and are due for payment accordingly. The visitor's tax will be invoiced separately and is currently EUR 3.50 per person per night.
