Did you know that the Schroth Cure and the therapeutic fasting cure are compulsory benefits of the health insurance funds? All people with statutory health insurance are therefore entitled - currently every 4 years - to a Schroth Cure or a therapeutic fasting cure at a recognised health resort. Prescribed medical services are covered and an allowance for accommodation costs is also paid. .
Schroth Cures and therapeutic fasting cures are considered outpatient spa cures or preventive services. In this context, outpatient means that you are fit for work and that the cure should take place during your holidays. All the better that the Rosenalp offers you a 4*S holiday ambience with top-level wellness.

YOUR FASTING CURE IN THE ROSENALP - AS A GUEST WITH STATUTORY HEALTH INSURANCE
We are pleased to welcome you to the Rosenalp as a recognised Health Resort in the Spa town of Oberstaufen. After your initial examination in our Medical Centre Dres Fink, our spa doctor will prescribe medical services in accordance with the nationally valid therapeutic product guidelines, if they are medically necessary. Of these, 90% of the costs are covered by your health insurance, you pay the remaining amount and the prescription fee yourself. You will receive an allowance per day for treatments and for your accommodation and meals with us in the Rosenalp.
YOUR FASTING CURE IN THE ROSENALP - AS A GUEST WITH PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE / ENTITLED TO BENEFITS
As private health insurances handle cost sharing for spa treatments differently, we recommend that privately insured guests contact their health insurer directly, to find out the amount of subsidy that can be granted. We also recommend that persons entitled to a subsidy contact the subsidy office directly, regarding cost sharing. In the Rosenalp, as a recognised sanatorium, Schroth Cures and therapeutic fasting cures are eligible for subsidies.
APPLICATION FOR A CURE
Please note that a cure must always be applied for in advance with your health insurance company. The pre-requisite for approval is that your attending doctor certifies that the cure is medically necessary. For the application, you need a certificate of the lowest daily rate as well as proof of our sanatorium concession. You can find these documents on our download page.
