Actively experience the magic of winter in the Allgäu region

Get into your warm winter clothes and out into the nature! Winter hiking trails and cross-country skiing tracks await you in the vicinity of your Rosenalp hotel. No less than 3 ski areas offer varied fun on the slopes in Oberstaufen - and all for free! While the terraces of the ski huts delight even non-skiers with sun rays and panoramic views. Perhaps you'd like to give skiing a try? Easy downhill runs and ski schools make it ideally possible in Oberstaufen!

Enchanting winter hiking

Enjoy the magical snow-covered world of Oberstaufen, step by step, on 60 km of cleared and 30 km of prepared winter hiking trails – do this individually or on one of the Rosenalp organised tours. Gentle or challenging. A special highlight is the first winter premium hiking trail in the Allgäu: a circular tour from Sinswang on prepared trails to Saneberg - with magnificent views of the Nagelfluh mountain range. The Hochgrat, the highest mountain, beckons with a breathtaking panoramic view. Mountain huts invite you to warm up with tea and to bathe in the winter sun on terraces with great views.

Adventurous snowshoeing

With snowshoes you can make good progress through the white wonderland, as if you were wearing magic boots, you can even walk over deep snow. Signposted tours lead you to the most beautiful places where you can fully absorb the magic of the winter world. Dreamlike cross-country skiing

Gliding rhythmically along in harmony with the landscape covered in deep snow, this feeling can be addictive. This is all the more true when the cross-country trails are as beautiful and varied as they are here in Oberstaufen. From the 2-kilometre Kalzhofer trail for beginners, to the 50-kilometre super trail through villages and forests, for experienced skiers: Oberstaufen with its hilly snow-covered winter landscape is a glittering paradise for cross-country skiers who want to explore the Allgäu area on skis. Cross-country skiing is free of charge for you, except for the high-altitude trail at Hochhäderich mountain

Winter health

In winter, your immune system can use an extra helping of support. With the delicious healthy food here in the Rosenalp, and our Winter Magic exercise offers, including those outside in the nature, sauna sessions and wellness treatments; you will do your body and soul a lot of good. In addition, there are lectures in our hotel on how you can also promote your health in winter. We are also happy to provide you with competent personal advice and support - with nutritional advice, personal training or medical advice.

In and around Oberstaufen there are 3 ski areas with 38 kilometres of slopes and lots of lifts and mountain transport systems for varied skiing fun: the Imbergbahn ski area with the Steibis Ski Arena, Hündle-Thalkirchdorf and Sinswang. Impressive panoramic views of the snow-covered Allgäu region, ensure maximum snow fun.
Skiing beginners will find ideal conditions on the slopes at Sinswang. Skiing on the fully snow-covered Imberg mountain, promises plenty of comfort - with a comfortable eight-seater gondola lift and the heated six-seater chairlift. In the Hündle-Thalkirchdorf ski area you can ski and snowboard even at night, thanks to floodlights.
